I just feel like crying... I'm so fed up of the hypocrisy!

i was very disgusted with the wt study for today.. towards the end of the article it refers to matthew 15 (see quoted scripture below).

this is a beautiful passage where jesus says his followers need to be hospitable, care for sick, hungry and imprisoned brothers.. they turn it around and say that for jw's this means they need to support the "faithful and discreet slave" by going in door-to-door witnessing, making monetary contributions to support the worldwide witnessing work, and following the directions and counsel of congregation elders.. and the worst part of it all is that there were several commenters giving almost word for word answers to that effect, they didn't even seem to listen to previous comments, they just repeated mindlessly what the paragraph said... i was ready to burst.

mom knew i was about to have a fit right there and then.

my manager expects a business plan tomorrow morning, and of course with all the holiday stuff i totally blew it off until the last minute.

if it weren't for procrastination, i'd have no plan at all.

i need to show how i plan to be profitabl, and i am so new to all of this, i have no clue where to start.

Concerning the 6,000 year BS, any person with a brain knows that the

creative days could not be 7,000 years long, which would be a total of

49,000 years after the 1,000 year reign of Jesus.

Just look at oil or petroleum. Oil is made from hydrocarbons which are

ancient plants and animals that were exposed to the combined effects

of time and temperature deep in the bowels of the earth. This organic

soup was cooked and now we have oil. This process would have taken

hundreds of thousands of years.

Concerning the building project prepartion for the next 4 years Brother Morris

said that "we are now working on next years district assemblies progams

and next years circuit assemblies and since we do not know the day

or the hour we have to prepare for the future but in the near future

the work that we did the previous year for prepartion will not have

been necessary." He really put the fear of God into the group.

Can anyone say cult?

up again. I heard his talk last last month and he really

putting it in on the line. He made statements like "if you are

not doing the Weekly Family Worship night that Jehovah

gave to you, then your chances of surviving the great

tribulation are greatly reduced and just because we

have building projects projected for the next 4 years

doesn't mean at all that we have 4 years remaining,

no not at all."

I noticed at the meeting today that the excitment that

I experienced in the early 1970's is returning and it just

makes me ill. Has any one else noticed that the Witnesses

are almost giddy with the thought that the end really

is near this time?

i cant tell wheather they are male or female, .

yes some have the identifying mark ....pink or blue.. but some dont.

Why we cannot know who wrote the articles in WT & AW?

The JW's will always take the Watchtower writings over the Bible.

I had a friend at Bethel who used to write articles for the Watchtower.

He was not anointed, he was not full of holy spirit, and he would

have been considered an apostate while at Bethel if they knew how he felt.

Peoples lifes have been impacted and many have died because of what

has been written in the pages of the Witchtower.

and governing body were mentioned more than god's name.

During the public talk and WT study this Sunday, I noticed

that the titles Faithful Slave, Faithful and Discreet Slave,

and Governing Body were mentioned more than God's name

Jehovah. That must make Him proud! I also like how they

quote out of the Watchtower like it is Gospel. They will say

the September 1, 1998 Watchtower on page 20 paragraph 3
